This weekend marked the end of an era as the very talented Josette Torres took her leave of
Lafayette for the opportunities that await her as a graduate student
at VA Tech. She is to be
congratulated on her graduation, and I know I am not alone in wishing
her the best of luck in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Other recent events include the first annual Glenwood Heights summer block party; a trip to the Melting Pot with Brad and Liz; frying plantains with Chris and Chrissy; a viewing of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at IMA; and watching the Perseids out in the middle of nowhere north of Fowler, Indiana. 17:29:16 Monday August 27 2007
GenCon this year was good, if not quite so good as last year. The best
new game I played would have to be Full Light, Full
Steam. Sara stopped by on that Saturday and took a ride on one of the
Segways.
We also attended the opening of Katie's art show at Illinois State University. It was awesome and fortunately it was funded by the university as part of their sesquicentennial anniversary celebration. Just to note another milestone: Sara began her Ph.D. work recently. As a result we have been hanging out with psychology grad students quite a bit.
